→What is Moon Sweepers?
Moon Sweepers is a co-op lunar cleanup simulation from DragDrop Games, a two-person studio. You and your crew work for the Lunar Surface Department (LSD) — sent to clean a Moon drowned in dust, armed with little more than a toothbrush and a tight budget.
The pitch is simple and ridiculous in equal measure: sweep lunar dust, haul it to a depot, and launch shipments to get paid. Reinvest the cash into better tools and bigger carrying capacity, then hand the sweeping over to J.O.O.N.A.S. cleaning robots. Work alone or recruit a crew of up to 16 in online co-op.
The game launched on Steam for Windows PC on October 23, 2026, and the studio shipped two patches within 48 hours — the current build is v1.0.4. This site currently covers:
- The beginner loop and the mistakes that waste your first hours
- How co-op lobbies, shared crew upgrades, and version matching work
- Cleaning mechanics, tools & upgrades, depots, belts and cleaning vehicles
- Official patch notes for v1.0.3 and v1.0.4, plus what is still outstanding
- Controls, system requirements, language support, and release details
Every entry is tagged "Confirmed / Unconfirmed". In-game numbers and systems may shift with patches — this game is being updated almost daily. When something in-game disagrees with this site, trust your current build, and report bugs in the official Discord.
Moon Sweepers FAQ
What kind of game is Moon Sweepers?
A co-op lunar cleanup simulation from DragDrop Games. You and your crew belong to the Lunar Surface Department (LSD), sent to clean a Moon buried in dust — and the budget only stretched to a single toothbrush. The loop is Collect → Deposit → Earn → Upgrade: sweep lunar dust, haul it to a depot, launch shipments for cash, then buy better tools, belts and eventually J.O.O.N.A.S. cleaning robots.
When did Moon Sweepers release?
October 23, 2026, on Steam for Windows PC. No console, Mac, or Linux version has been announced. The current build is v1.0.4 (published October 25, 2026) — the game received two patches in its first two days, detailed on our patch notes page.
Is there multiplayer or co-op?
Yes — online co-op for up to 16 players, plus a full single-player mode. Since v1.0.3 the whole crew shares the host's upgrade matrix, so an upgrade bought by anyone benefits everyone. All crewmates must be on the same game version to play together, and hosts can kick or ban players from ESC → Your Crew. Full details in Co-op & Crew.
How does the core loop actually work?
You sweep lunar dust off the surface, fill your storage, deliver it to a depot, and launch the shipment to get paid. Spend the money on new cleaning tools and bigger carrying capacity so each trip between deliveries covers more ground. The surface visibly turns clean with every pass — progress is real and trackable. Later you automate the hauling with belts and hand the sweeping to J.O.O.N.A.S. robots.
Do the cleaning robots really work while I'm away?
Yes, since v1.0.4. That was the single biggest launch complaint — J.O.O.N.A.S. units stopping once players walked away. They now clean even with no players nearby, roughly twice as fast, one hex at a time from the outside in, and they launch capsules to the nearest Capsule Catcher without returning to a dock. See Cleaning Vehicles & J.O.O.N.A.S..
What platforms is it on?
Windows PC via Steam only. It has full controller support (DualShock / DualSense and Steam Input), but there is no native macOS or Linux build and no PS5 / Xbox / Switch version. There is still no official Valve Steam Deck rating, though the game does run on Steam Deck through Proton and v1.0.4 fixed startup failures on older Proton versions.
Is there an official Discord?
Yes — https://discord.gg/5ATRkXkAAe, linked from the Steam store page. DragDrop Games named it in the v1.0.4 patch notes as the place to report bugs, so it is the fastest way to get something fixed by the two-person team.
How much does it cost?
It is priced regionally on Steam and launched with an introductory discount of 15% that runs until October 30, 2026. The exact amount depends on your region — ¥30.60 (down from ¥36.00) on the CN storefront, S$8.49 (down from S$9.99) in SGD — so check the Steam page for your own currency.
Is it available in English?
Yes. English ships with a full interface, voice, and subtitles. The game supports 19 languages in total; the other 18 (Simplified & Traditional Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and more) have interface support. DragDrop Games discloses that generative AI assisted with translating in-game text into those languages.
I'm crashing on an AMD graphics card — what should I do?
Update to v1.0.4 first. That patch made DirectX 11 the default specifically to prevent AMD GPU crashes. If you previously forced DirectX 12 with the `-force-d3d12` launch option, remove it and let the game run on the default renderer. See System Requirements.
Is this an official site?
No. moonsweepers.wiki is an independent fan-made guide hub with no affiliation to DragDrop Games or Valve. For release, price, and platform facts, trust the official Steam store page; for patch content, trust the official notes; for in-game numbers and systems, verify against your installed build.
